Women are victims of oppression and exploitation all over the world

Article by Farhan khan ( president at United Research for Religious Affairs)

Women are one of the victims of social and economic oppression and exploitation in the world, but discrimination against women has always been in the form of a problem. Some ancient religions have described woman as a soulless creature and the root of all evil. In today's age, woman is considered as a mere sex toy. A report by Amnesty International states that women are not valued in any country in the world. Women from all social classes, societies and races are at risk of having their human rights violated. In the said report, it has been revealed that women are being killed, their honor and respect are being robbed all over the world. They are being tortured. This has been said in the report regarding Bosnia, Rwanda and Mexico.

According to a United Nations report, women in China work an average of 12 hours while men have an average of 10 hours of work, but the tragedy is that they are paid less than men despite taking more work.

Financial exploitation of women is not only in China, but it is the same situation in the whole world. They are considered the backbone of the agricultural sector everywhere, but in every third household in the world, women manage the household expenses and they have a significant share in the production of food grains. It is she who prepares and feeds the food and often women eat last and least. She first feeds her husband and children and finally eats the leftovers herself. Women are neglected in every way in a male-dominated society. According to a United Nations report, seven hundred and thirty-six million women over the age of 15, i.e. one in three women, are victims of sexual and physical violence by themselves or others. 16% of women aged 15 to 24 have experienced violence. Every day 147 women are killed by their close relatives. 37% of women in developed countries and 22% in developing countries are killed or tortured by their close relatives.

According to a survey released by the Thomson Reuters Foundation, India has been ranked as the most dangerous country for women based on sexual violence against women, human trafficking and being forced into the sex trade. is where most cases of rape and forced labor are reported. Afghanistan, Congo and Syria are in the second and third places, while Somalia is in the fourth place and Saudi Arabia is in the fifth place.

A survey conducted in 35 countries in 1999 shows that 52 percent of women have been victims of violence by their partners at some point in their lives (Thomson Reuters Foundation Crime Against Women, 2018).

In subcontinental India and Pakistan, the condition of women is not much better. Ninety percent of women in Pakistan suffer from physical, sexual, mental and psychological violence in their homes. Similarly, seventy percent of married women in India are victims of domestic violence between the ages of fifteen and fifty. According to another report, fourteen women are killed by their husbands every day in India.

According to data provided by the National Crime Records Bureau, every three minutes a woman is a victim of a criminal act and every six hours a married woman is beaten to death, burned alive or forced to commit suicide. Is.

The summary discussion is that in the present era, women are victims of all kinds of oppression and exploitation in the male-dominated society and are living a life of semi-slavery.

In short, the think tanks of countries all over the world have to believe that women are the backbone of a balanced society and stop these atrocities against them immediately. United Research for Religious Affairs is one such organization. Who has raised his voice on every platform to stop atrocities against women and will continue to raise his voice.

Corruption in the name of religion is an indisputable fact.  However, there is no religion in the world that is aware of corruption.  In the teachings of every religion, high human morals have been made the basis and the result of religious experience has been declared to be moral refinement.  When people read the teachings of religion on the one hand and look at the behavior of religious people on the other hand, they see Buad al-Mashrikeen.  In this background, it is natural to raise the question that if religion is the bearer of knowledge of good and the messenger of peace, then why was there rioting in the name of religion in human history? Importance of Social Work in Islam

By Farhan khan President United Research for Religious Affairs) Social work or humanitarian service and working for the poor and needy people of the society is a great virtue and Islam has taught it. This is the blessed Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he has described the great reward and reward of serving the suffering humanity and helping the needy people. I even submit that after the revelation of the Prophet (PBUH), the first introduction of him came to us from the same reference that he (PBUH) used to serve the needy and deserving people. And when the first revelation was revealed to the last Prophet of Allah, Muhammad (PBUH), he (PBUH) came to his house and said to his wife, Umm al-Mu'minin, Hazrat Khadija (RA): He consoled and said that by God, Allah will not make you sad.
